About The Position

NEFCO is a construction supply company that provides support to contractors by serving as the channel that unites them with the construction products they need. The company aims to always be there for contractors. This position reports to the shift Warehouse Lead or Logistics Manager and has primary responsibility for keeping inventory organized and ready to ship to customers as well as branch locations.

Requirements

High school diploma (or equivalent) or GED
Ability to use NEFCO’s ERP software system
Ability to use warehouse layouts for planning purposes
Basic computer skills
Must have a positive, hard-working attitude
Ability to establish priorities, work independently and little supervision
Ability to multitask
Excellent communication skills
Ability to stands on concrete floor for long periods of time
Must be able to work in various climate conditions such as cold, heat, humidity for a long period of time
Ability to crouch, stoop, kneel, crawl and twist for lifting
Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs
Ability to review and interpret computer images and written documents
Analytical ability including basic math skills

Nice To Haves

Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, or Outlook

Responsibilities

Provides general assistance, including pulling and staging orders
Performs bin location maintenance
Performs tasks to ensure safety, organization and cleanliness of the warehouse
Assists in conducting cycle counting to insure inventory accuracy
Attends safety training and meetings; follows rules and regulations
Performs forklift inspections and completes reports; forklift operation
Communicate consistently with management, all branch personnel
May perform Receiving and Shipping functions as follows: Verifying inventory against purchase orders for accuracy
May perform Receiving and Shipping functions as follows: Receiving inventory into the NEFCO ERP software system
May perform Receiving and Shipping functions as follows: Staging/Shelving inventory
May perform Receiving and Shipping functions as follows: Uses RF technology to pick orders and verifies items
May perform Receiving and Shipping functions as follows: Sends picked orders to packing department
May perform Receiving and Shipping functions as follows: Pack goods following NEFCO processes and procedures
May perform Receiving and Shipping functions as follows: Loads trucks with packed orders in a specified sequence
