About The Position

North Penn Animal Hospital (NPAH) is seeking a compassionate and dependable Overnight Veterinary Technician to provide attentive care to hospitalized and post-surgical patients. This role is responsible for overnight patient monitoring and nursing care , working independently while following established medical protocols.

Requirements

• Veterinary Technician experience required (licensed/certified preferred)
• Strong attention to detail and observation skills
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions
• Compassionate, calm, and reliable overnight caregiver
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, and handling animals
• Safe handling and restraint of patients as needed

Responsibilities

• Provide overnight care for hospitalized and post-operative patients
• Monitor patient comfort, recovery, and changes in condition
• Administer medications, treatments, fluids, and nutrition as prescribed
• Maintain accurate medical records and overnight notes
• Clean, maintain, and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment
• Ensure patient comfort, cleanliness, and safety throughout the night
• Maintain cleanliness of treatment, recovery, and patient wards
• Follow hospital safety, emergency, and overnight protocols
