About The Position

The ideal candidate for the Customer Service Representative position is someone who strives to provide top notch customer service, to ensure our clients and patients have the best possible experience. With an emphasis on customer service, the Customer Service Representative is responsible for registering patients, answering the telephone, and preparing the hospital for the day, among many other various duties, as directed by supervisor. Part-time, Overnight Shift Sunday nights from 10pm-8am

Requirements

  • Ability to provide excellent customer service in emergency situations.
  • Ability to prioritize incoming calls/patients in order of urgency.
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems.
  • Ability to multi-task, while still maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate in a polite and professional manor.
  • Clerical, word processing, and/or office skills.
  • Minimum 2 year of customer service experience.
  • Some experience as a CSR in veterinary medicine is required.
  • Considerable physical activity. May require handling of objects that can weigh up to 50 lbs.
  • Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.
  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and some holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Check-in new specialty and emergency patients for visits.
  • Update previous clients' information and check for accuracy.
  • Check-out clients after visits/collect initial deposit for procedures.
  • Prepare charts for upcoming appointments.
  • Contact referring veterinarians to request records for appointments/emergencies.
  • Answer all incoming phone calls in a timely and professional manor and direct callers to appropriate location.
  • Perform miscellaneous clerical duties including (but not limited to) filing and data entry.
  • Hospital maintenance, cleaning to ensure the facility is clean and neat at all times.
  • Work hand-in-hand with veterinarians and clinical staff to ensure the clients and patients are receiving the highest level of care possible.
