About The Position

The Overnight Supervisor will have authority and responsibility to assist guests in the campground with a focus on safety and security and monitoring guest and vehicle traffic. This includes communicating with BCSO and security personnel. Other responsibilities may include all opening and closing procedures and managing daily business. In addition to experience and skills as Overnight Supervisor, the ideal candidate will have excellent planning and organizational skills, verbal and written communication skills, business/financial acumen, and will be customer service orientated. The Overnight Supervisor will perform other duties as assigned and may work varying shifts including holidays and weekends.

Requirements

  • 2-year degree in Hospitality Management or a related field or equivalent of 2 years hospitality or related field in lieu of degree experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of direct supervising and leading the work of others, preferably in the hospitality or related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in security and public safety or related field
  • Excellent skills in customer service, planning and organizing, verbal and written communication skills
  • Business and financial acumen; experience preparing, interpreting, and managing budgets
  • Advanced computer literacy and experience including the operation on Office Platforms (i.e., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.), printers, campground reservation system (CampLife), and park POS/ticketing system (ZED)
  • Able to work all shifts and holidays, as needed
  • Valid Florida Driver’s License or ability to obtain one within 30 days.
  • Tasks require the ability to exert physical effort
  • May involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of light weight (30 pounds)

Responsibilities

  • Communicate issues to fellow supervisors and leadership regarding operations, employees, and other important matters
  • Implement and ensure compliance with policies and procedures as directed
  • Enforces Park rules to ensure the overall safety and security of guests, visitors, and employees
  • Ability to use critical thinking under potentially stressful situations
  • Occasionally supervise staff to ensure world-class guest interactions and lead and motivate team members
  • Ability to identify and solve routine daily problems
  • Willing to work day shifts if needed
  • Performs other duties assigned by the Assistant Manager
  • Perform CampLife and ZED duties
  • Assure all building components are operational and in good condition
  • Inspects building and grounds for maintenance concerns
  • Responsible for closing entry gates at the end of the day – shutting down lights, locking buildings, etc.
  • Identify and anticipate needs for maintenance and landscape items
  • Following up on pending maintenance and landscape items
  • Other duties and projects as needed
  • Provide financial and operational reports as requested
  • Ability to identify and resolve guest and Park issues
  • Assists with special events, including launches which may occur anytime, 24/7
  • Displays leadership in guest hospitality, exemplifies excellent customer service, and creates a positive atmosphere for guest relations
  • Ensures team members have the supplies and resources needed to deliver great guest service
