About The Position
As a member of the Meijer family, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our store is well-stocked and organized for our customers. This position is primarily focused on overnight stocking, where you will be responsible for taking stock from either an l-cart or pallet and placing it in the correct location on the shelves using the location codes provided on the boxes. Your work will help maintain the store's inventory and ensure that customers have access to the products they need. You will be expected to work night shifts, which allows for a quieter environment to complete your tasks efficiently. In this role, you will stock food shelves with a variety of products, ensuring that everything is in its designated place. You will also be responsible for pulling back stock and trash to the back room, making sure that everything is organized and tidy. Collaboration with management is key, as you will work together to ensure that the correct areas are stocked in a timely manner. Maintaining a friendly demeanor with customers is essential, as you will be interacting with them regularly during your shifts. This position requires a process-driven individual who can follow procedures in an organized and efficient manner. You will need to stay calm while working in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating your ability to handle multiple tasks effectively. Physical stamina is important, as you will be lifting boxes weighing up to 50 pounds and performing various physical activities such as lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, bending, and twisting while handling products. Standing for long periods of time is also a requirement. Knowledge of operating a forklift and pallet jack is a plus, as it may be beneficial in your daily tasks.
