About the position

The Overnight Stocking Manager at Meijer is responsible for leading a team to ensure effective operations within the store. This role focuses on team member engagement, performance management, training, and development, while also overseeing financial results and operational compliance. The manager will drive recognition and feedback, implement process improvements, and uphold the Meijer culture, all while ensuring a high standard of service and safety in the store.

Responsibilities

• Engage with team members to ensure appropriate onboarding, training, and development.
• Identify talent and engage in career discussions to support staffing and leadership roles.
• Conduct candid discussions with team members to uphold Meijer standards and facilitate growth.
• Accountable for area operations and financial results, overseeing corporate plan execution.
• Drive safety and compliance throughout the store and manage overall condition.
• Ensure Team Leaders and Leads provide guidance and assign daily work assignments.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 4+ years of retail/grocery or customer service experience.
• Progressive leadership experience preferred.
• Strong communication skills to provide clear direction.
• Ability to analyze financial and statistical information for decision-making.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety in the workplace.
• Proactive and creative thinking applied to business operations.
• Understanding of seasonal and diverse merchandising.
