About the position
The Overnight Stocker at Cosentino's Price Chopper is responsible for assisting customers by efficiently stocking shelves and displays during overnight hours. This role focuses on maintaining a clean and organized store environment while ensuring that products are readily available for customers. The position requires adherence to customer service standards and compliance with health and safety regulations.
Responsibilities
- Assist customers by properly stocking shelves and displays.
- Unload and sort incoming shipments and stock them in designated areas.
- Keep back room and cooler/freezer areas neat and ready for new deliveries.
- Stock grocery shelves by matching item UPCs codes to shelf tags.
- Support the inventory process by accurately counting and recording merchandise.
- Monitor products for damage and follow procedures for damage claims.
- Operate, clean, and maintain all equipment safely and competently.
- Meet or exceed productivity standards for team and individual results.
- Monitor expiration dates and ensure proper rotation of ad items.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area for customers and coworkers.
- Comply with health regulations, sanitation guidelines, and safety procedures.
Requirements
- Completion of ongoing training and development as listed on the Cosentino's Learning Plan.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Strong verbal and interpersonal skills for positive customer interactions.
- Basic math and reading skills required for the position.
Nice-to-haves
- Knowledge of department items, procedures, and policies to assist customers effectively.
