The Shelter Monitor provides primary support to clients in shelter facilities within the Housing and Homeless Services (HHS) Department. This role involves monitoring daily shelter activities, enforcing program rules, performing electronic bed assignment and intake, conducting hourly facility rounds, and documenting log entries and incident reports. The position is responsible for maintaining a safe and orderly environment, adhering to emergency preparedness plans, de-escalating client behavior, and interacting professionally with all stakeholders using a trauma-informed and housing-first approach.
