About The Position

GardaWorld Security Services is seeking a Security Supervisor to oversee security operations at a site in Chester, VA. This role requires adaptability and the ability to thrive in dynamic environments, as responsibilities will vary based on daily operations and special events. The Security Supervisor will work overnight from 12:00am to 8:00am, Sunday through Thursday, and will be responsible for ensuring high standards of security service, maintaining operational logs, and developing effective relationships with clients and staff. The position offers a competitive hourly wage and a comprehensive benefits package.

Requirements

• Advanced phone skills
• Advanced customer service skills
• Advanced computer literacy
• Able to climb stairs
• At least 21 years of age or older as required by applicable law or contractual requirements
• Prior supervisory experience in security, military, law enforcement, corrections, or related fields is preferred

Responsibilities

• Ensure that GardaWorld Security core values are integrated into and throughout all business practices.
• Supervise the day-to-day security service provided to the facility and ensure service is of the highest standards.
• Assist in the development and implementation of staffing schedules, payroll, and other reports.
• Ensure that operational logs, records and post orders are maintained appropriately.
• Develop and maintain effective relationships with client and employees and serve as the liaison between GardaWorld, our client, and our assigned staff.
• Assist in the selection, orientation, training, and continual development of staff assigned to the account.
• Maintain goal of zero safety incidents, while managing a robust safety culture and program appropriate to the operating environments.
• Regularly review security officer schedules and staffing levels to identify opportunities for improvement of security operations.
• Be ready to respond to any operational emergency and ensure timely response, communications, and accurate reporting.
• Direct, supervise, and support site officers.
• Recommend, nominate, and distribute rewards and recognition.
• Responsible for corrective action and discipline of subordinate officers and recommending and participating in other disciplinary decisions.
• Supervise & manage employees at your assigned job site.
• Maintain a healthy, professional relationship with our client at the assigned site.
• Exercise independent judgement and sound decision making in performing all duties.
