Requirements

  • Valid Guard Card is required at time of hire.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and respond effectively in high-pressure or emergency situations.
  • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision during overnight hours.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods (entire 8.5-hour shift).
  • Must be able to climb stairs, walk uneven surfaces, and conduct foot patrols across indoor and outdoor resort grounds.
  • Must be able to lift, carry, and push/pull up to 50 lbs.
  • Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, and kneeling.
  • Must be comfortable working in various weather conditions and temperature changes.
  • Must have clear vision (with or without correction) and good hearing to observe and report incidents accurately.
  • Must be able to respond quickly and move swiftly in emergency situations.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR, First Aid, and AED certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year of previous security experience in hospitality, healthcare, or large venues strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular patrols of resort grounds, buildings, guest areas, and back-of-house spaces to help maintain a safe and secure environment.
  • Monitor surveillance systems (CCTV), alarm panels, and fire/life safety systems, responding appropriately to alerts.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to incidents, disturbances, and emergency situations, including medical calls, guest concerns, and fire alarms.
  • Prepare accurate, detailed reports documenting incidents, accidents, and any unusual or suspicious activity.
  • Enforce resort policies and procedures with a focus on professionalism, fairness, and excellent guest service.
  • Assist with lost and found procedures, ensuring proper documentation and secure handling of guest property.
  • Manage access to restricted areas and remain alert for unauthorized individuals or activities.
  • Coordinate with local law enforcement, emergency responders, and internal teams when needed.
  • Support safe and orderly evacuations during fire alarms or emergency situations.
  • Perform wake-up calls and guest wellness checks as requested or required.
  • Participate in ongoing security training, drills, and required certification updates.
