About The Position

Securitas is seeking a Full-Time Overnight Security Officer for the Gresham, OR / Vancouver, WA area. This position is ideal for individuals with a background in military or law enforcement. The available shifts include Thursday to Monday from 12am to 8am and Thursday to Sunday from 11pm to 7am. The wage for this position ranges from $19.50 to $20.80 per hour. Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED required, or ability to complete GED program within 6 months.
• Standard computer and technology skills needed.
• Customer service background preferred.
• Prior security, law enforcement, or military experience a plus.
• Must be able to interact with a wide range of individuals in a professional manner.
• Must have great attention to detail and remain vigilant throughout the shift.
• Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid and effective judgment and use appropriate escalation measures.
• Willingness to participate in Securitas' pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.

Responsibilities

• Conflict resolution and de-escalation.
• Secure entrances and exits.
• Conduct patrols inside and outside the client's premises in various weather conditions.
• Frequent interactions with client employees and guests.
• Identify and report safety issues, hazardous conditions, or any suspicious activity.
• Protect evidence or scene of incident in the event of accidents, emergencies, or security investigations.
• Set up barriers and signage and provide direction or information to others.
• Carry out specific tasks and duties of similar nature and scope as required for assigned site.
