The Security Guard is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for all residents, visitors, and staff and protecting Community property. Responsible for verifying the scheduled presence of all employees, and third-party contractors on the grounds. Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of a Security Guard: During emergencies or natural disasters, employees may be required to report for duty as assigned by the Director of Plant Operations for the duration of the disaster. Maintains acceptable standards of personal hygiene and complies with department dress code. Attends in-service training and education sessions as assigned. Responsible for ensuring authorization to admit all incoming traffic according to established Policy and Procedures. Completes assigned Security schedule daily run sheets, avoids overtime as necessary, while keeping the integrity and security of the community. May be on call to accommodate other staff schedules, callouts, time off, etc. Assists management with maintaining marketing and other community events to provide traffic direction, guest check-in, parking and security as needed. Conducts special projects as assigned by the Director as required. Keeps management abreast of security matters as necessary in a timely manner. Performs scheduled rounds both inside and outside of the buildings to maintain a secure environment. Assists in identifying department needs. Observes and participates in the use of Universal Precautions. Responsible for assisting in all phases of safety training including but not limited to performing fire drills and safety inspections and to make recommendations on needed corrections. Monitors and maintains scheduled security checks, walking inspections and radio requests. Responds to the emergency response system following standard operating procedure. Door unlock log, e-call log, doctor run sheets. Responsible for maintaining timely, accurate reports and logs, including, but not limited to, incident reports, safety inspections, repair and service requests, emergency call logs, doctor run sheets and delivering pass-on reports to relief officers. Responsible for immediate notification of all emergencies to appropriate personnel, including, but not limited to, the Executive Director and/or Administrator, Department Heads, Supervisor and Health Center Charge Nurse
