Our residents are treated compassionately with dignity and respect. We are seeking customer service-oriented candidates who take great pride in serving seniors in a caring and professional manner. We are looking for associates to provide five‐star, high-quality Security service for Westminster independent living residents. This position will also act as a first responder when a resident has an emergency and needs assistance in their independent living apartment (such as after a fall, or due to a medical emergency, etc.) Full-time, Monday & Wednesday 3:00 p.m. -7:30 a.m. 16-hour shift OR Tuesday & Thursday 3:00 p.m. -7:30 a.m. 16-hour shift Work 32 hours each week, and get paid an 8 hour bonus. Get paid for 40 hours.

Requirements

Previous experience working in a similar position in a Security or Concierge role is preferred.
EMT or EMR certification is required.

Responsibilities

Ensure the safety and well-being of residents and employees.
Evaluate the physical, emotional and social needs of residents.
Responds to alarm systems including the Simplex Fire Control Panel, in instances of smoke, fire, electrical, and the Companion One resident emergency Pendant Alarm and pull cord System and facilitates effective communication between appropriate personnel.
Respond to apartment pendant alarm and pull cord emergency calls, and assists as a First Responder as needed.
Maintain reports and records; ensure confidentiality of resident information.
Contact appropriate companies during maintenance and mechanical emergencies or situations.
Report all concerns of possible abuse, neglect or safety concerns to Residential Health and Wellness Director, Supervisor or Associate Executive Director.
Assist residents and visitors entering and exiting vehicles when possible.
Assist with residents’ needs in lobby and other areas, unlock apartments when requested.
Perform building lock down procedures.
Monitor facility, parking and conduct interior and exterior grounds for security, utilize MS Shift scanner for scan points. Monitor for safety issues, parking violations, and issue parking violations as needed.
Perform incidental housekeeping, maintenance tasks, and assist residents with minor television issues as may arise during the course of shift.
