About The Position

Glenhaven Academy is seeking an Assistant Residential Supervisor to join their dynamic team. This position involves working with adolescents in a residential treatment setting that specializes in trauma-informed care. Glenhaven provides 24-hour comprehensive care, including an on-site school, a full clinical staff, nursing staff, and direct care staff. The ideal candidate will bring an energetic and positive approach to helping students.

Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age
  • Remain awake throughout overnight shift to ensure safety and wellbeing of students
  • Group home, residential program or mental health facility experience required
  • Supervisory experience in Mental Health facility required
  • Maintains valid driver’s license as transporting students is required
  • Available to work evenings, holidays, weekend shifts as required
  • Ability to provide physical interventions and verbal de-escalations to provide the safest therapeutic atmosphere for students
  • Background and driving record checks will be performed

Responsibilities

  • Ensure program safety and compliance with safety and security procedures while on site, and also through rotating on call coverage
  • Support the professional development of Residential Counselors through training and supervision
  • Support all efforts to ensure the safety and well-being of students
  • Support staff and programming through knowledge of the policies and procedures of the Glenhaven Academy’s Residential Department
