A Resident Life Supervisor at Catholic Charities creates and implements training materials to educate and train Shelter Associates and Safety Associates to create a professional, efficient, and consistent operations. The supervisor utilizes constructive criticism to ensure Shelter/Safety Associates consistently demonstrate mastery of required job skills and emphasizes the importance of clear written and verbal communication. They apply appropriate techniques and standards in program development and service delivery, implementing program objectives and performance standards as directed by supervisor/management consistent with our mission and Catholic teachings. The supervisor conducts performance reviews for Shelter/Safety Associates in conjunction with the Operations Manager and maintains accurate and timely program statistical data to meet reporting requirements. They complete necessary administrative duties timely and accurately, ensure consistent and timely communication of participant issues to other appropriate staff, and provide customer service to all visitors and participants. The supervisor resolves participant issues/disputes following Samaritan House policies and procedures and responds appropriately to emergency/crisis situations. They approve timesheets for direct reports and work with the Operations Manager to oversee employee shift scheduling and time off requests. The supervisor supports, promotes, and adheres to Catholic Charities’ vision, mission, values, and Code of Ethics, reflecting the organization’s commitment to treating all persons with dignity and respect. They use creativity and innovation in program development and service delivery, maintain confidentiality of participant and agency information, and facilitate bi-weekly 1-1s to support shelter staff.

  • Experience in social work, psychology, criminal justice, or human services.
  • Salary: $25.00 per hour, with a $1.00 bilingual differential.
