About The Position

Veterinary Specialty Hospital in Roseville is seeking a dedicated overnight Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our emergency team. As an RVT in our Emergency Department, you will: Triage and stabilize incoming emergency patients efficiently and accurately Assist veterinarians in patient assessment, diagnostics, treatments, and emergency procedures Obtain, process, and analyze laboratory samples, including blood, urine, fluid, and cytology Perform and assist with radiographs, ultrasound, and other imaging modalities for emergency assessment Administer, monitor, and recover patients under sedation and anesthesia, including emergency interventions Assist with emergency surgical procedures and minor surgeries as needed Provide compassionate client communication in high-stress situations, including explaining procedures, updates, and patient status Maintain accurate and thorough medical records and ensure proper infection control and safety protocols are followed

Requirements

  • Current and valid Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) license in the state of California
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a veterinary technician in an emergency setting
  • Proficiency in laboratory procedures, imaging, anesthesia monitoring, and surgical assistance
  • Commitment to collaborating with a multidisciplinary veterinary team
  • Ability to work overnight shifts and handle high-stress situations professionally
  • Thrive in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
  • Maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude
  • Passionate about delivering exceptional patient care and client service
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and adapt quickly in emergency situations
