About The Position

The Overnight Quality Control Clerk at Amtrak is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and quality of inbound and outbound product orders while providing excellent customer service. This role involves processing transactions in the Warehouse Inventory Management System (WIMS), conducting quality assurance audits, and assisting with problem-solving related to inventory management. The position requires effective communication and collaboration with various stakeholders to maintain high standards of service and compliance with company policies.

Requirements

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and interact with staff at all levels.
• Demonstrates initiative and ability to work efficiently and independently.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and cloud-based systems.
• High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and organization.
• Understanding of inventory flow and accountability.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
• Valid driver's license and ability to meet Aramark CMV policy requirements.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in quality control or inventory management.
• Familiarity with Warehouse Inventory Management Systems (WIMS).

Responsibilities

• Enter data and process transactions in Warehouse Inventory Management System (WIMS) database.
• Conduct Quality Assurance (QA) verification audits for inbound and outbound orders.
• Effectively communicate and help resolve discrepancies identified during audits.
• Ensure compliance with QA Process VPS Tools and Business Process SOPs.
• Assist with problem solving and developing sustainable solutions for transactional issues.
• May assist with Centralized Purchasing process and executing Warehouse to Warehouse Transfers.
• Maintain files and answer internal and external calls.
• Utilize electronic equipment such as scanners, tablets, computers, printers, and copiers.
• Participate in End of Month (EOM) inventory process and periodic cycle counts.
• Prepare communication materials for management and hourly staff.
