The Manufacturing Operator position at Sika involves overseeing the operation of manufacturing and packaging lines to ensure optimal production quantity and quality. This role is essential in supporting the company's policies and objectives during 8 or 12-hour shifts. The operator will work with chemical substances to produce various industrial and consumer products, while adhering to safety and quality standards.

  • Operate manufacturing and packaging line(s) to maximize production quantity and quality.
  • Tend manual or semiautomatic systems processing chemical substances into products like sealants and adhesives.
  • Load specified amounts of materials into heating/cooling vessels or blending tanks.
  • Monitor chemical reactions and make operating adjustments based on quality control feedback.
  • Draw samples for quality control analysis.
  • Package, palletize, shrink-wrap, and stage products for transportation using a forklift.
  • Maintain safety standards and good housekeeping in the manufacturing area.
  • Perform minor maintenance on equipment and assist with special projects as assigned.
  • High School graduate; trade school certification in electronics or related field is a plus.
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend documents in English.
  • Ability to lift up to 74 lbs repeatedly throughout the work shift.
  • Ability to understand, analyze, and resolve technical problems in the work area.
  • Must be able to operate a forklift.
  • Pass a Sika proficiency test assessing reading comprehension and math ability.
