About The Position
The Overnight Produce Team Member at Whole Foods Market plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality and availability of products during the overnight shift. This position involves receiving and preparing products, maintaining the sales floor, displays, and back stock in accordance with company standards. Team Members are expected to provide courteous, friendly, and efficient service to customers and fellow Team Members at all times, contributing to a positive company image. All tasks must be performed in alignment with team and store Standard Operating Procedures, and Team Members should be prepared to undertake duties inherent in other roles as needed. The position emphasizes adherence to health and safety regulations, including Food Safety and other regulatory duties required in the department. In this role, Team Members will check products to ensure they meet Whole Foods Market's quality standards, accurately sort and scan waste, and maintain production standards. Responsibilities also include stocking and cleaning shelves, bins, and food preparation areas, as well as managing back stock effectively. Team Members will handle invoices for products delivered outside of store receiving hours, check-in products, and report any discrepancies to team leadership. They will also assist in receiving and sorting overnight deliveries for other teams, ensuring that they arrive at their workstations on time, appropriately groomed, and ready to work. Providing excellent customer service is a key aspect of this role, as Team Members will address customer needs promptly and effectively, utilizing suggestive selling techniques. They will maximize sales potential through proper procedures for prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising products. Compliance with established procedures, including health and sanitation standards, is essential, as is maintaining a clean and sanitary working environment. Team Members will perform various duties as assigned, including opening, mid, and closing tasks, ensuring accuracy in signage and pricing, and reporting safety hazards immediately. Overall, this position requires a strong work ethic, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a passion for natural foods and the mission of Whole Foods Market.
