About The Position

The Overnight PIR/Cherry Picker Selector at Driscoll Foods is responsible for selecting PIR products in high slots using a cherry picker machine. This labor-intensive role involves processing work orders in a warehouse environment, ensuring safe and efficient delivery of merchandise to the dock. The position requires meeting productivity standards while working in various temperature conditions, including cooler and freezer areas.

Requirements

• Experience with SP3000-4000 cherry picker forklift and PE4500 stand-up electric double pallet jack.
• Ability to read alpha and numeric codes from pick sheets and slots.
• High school education or equivalent preferred.

Nice To Haves

• Prior warehouse, selecting, material handling, or food handling experience.
• Voice selection software experience.
• Recent experience in high endurance or highly physical activity.

Responsibilities

• Select PIR products from high racks using a cherry picker machine.
• Manually select correct products and palletize them.
• Deliver merchandise to the dock safely and efficiently.
• Select from regular picking slots using an electric pallet jack as needed.
• Meet productivity standards and ensure accuracy in selections.
• Perform pre-shift duties including warm-up and safety checks on equipment.
• Clear aisles of debris and return pallet jacks to charging areas post-shift.
