The Overnight Mobile Crisis Intervention (MCI) Clinician will provide comprehensive community-based emergency mental health and substance abuse services to individuals and families in crisis. The Clinician will be available to provide interventions during the third shift/overnight, to ensure accessibility and timely response. The Overnight MCI Clinician also: Ensures a trauma-informed environment that promotes safety and recovery. Provides psychiatric and substance abuse evaluation of individuals and families in crisis in community, clinic, and residential settings. Provides crisis intervention services including crisis case management and short-term crisis counseling as follow-up from initial evaluation. Maintains linkages with specific community services by providing documented case consultations and problem resolution. Offers recommendations to clients regarding service options and support in accessing. Performs warm hand offs to other services and care coordination entities. Develops and maintains a thorough knowledge of managed care and health insurance systems; provide other clinicians with managed care information and resources pertinent to the crises being managed. Maintains necessary documentation and records. Actively participates in supervision and staff meetings. Perform other duties as assigned.
