Employee Recognition & Rewards : A culture that celebrates and rewards your hard work and dedication How you will make a difference : The LVN / LPT provides direct client care including the administration of medications and supervising nursing activities performed by professional and para-professional nursing personnel on the unit. Division/Program Overview: · The Crisis Residential Treatment (CRT) is a short-term voluntary residential facility. · Designed to help adult residents, ages 18-59, who experience a psychiatric crisis to safely stabilize, recover, and transition back to community. Services include: · 24/7 Program · Therapeutic and mental health services · Rehabilitation/recovery services, including substance use rehabilitation services · Pre-vocational or vocational counseling · Medication evaluation and support services · Daily exercise and health/wellness education · Crisis intervention Learn more about SBHG at : https://www.starsinc.com/stars-inc/ For Additional Information: [email protected] In accordance with California law, the grade for this position is 26.16 - 41.85. Placement within the grade is determined based on experience, internal equity, and other factors permitted by law.
Requirements
- Applicants must have attained the age of 18 years of age
- Graduation from an accredited school of licensed vocational nursing or psychiatric technology required.
- Valid California LVN or LPT license.
- Current CPR certification
- First Aid certification from persons qualified by agencies including but not limited to the American Red Cross.
Nice To Haves
- Associate degree, preferred.
- One (1) year of service experience treating the mentally ill in an inpatient setting, preferred.
- One (1) year of medication administration experience is required.
Responsibilities
- Ordering, preparing, administering, and documenting the administration of medication for clients according to physicians’ orders.
- Confirming delivery of all ordered medication from the pharmacy on shift worked.
- Communicating pertinent information verbally and in writing to all team members.
- Responsible for writing a weekly summary on the client as assigned.
- Monitoring and maintaining appropriate nursing documentation in the medical record for the shift worked.
