About The Position

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Overnight Laundry Attendant to join our housekeeping team at our luxury resort. The primary responsibility is to process high volumes of hotel linens, towels, and terry items during the night shift to ensure a constant supply of fresh, clean laundry is available for housekeeping and guest services the following morning. This role is essential in maintaining our high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a laundry operations, housekeeping, or similar high-volume environment.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision during overnight hours.
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and handle repetitive tasks involving pushing/pulling heavy laundry carts.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
  • Excellent reliability and punctuality; must be available for flexible scheduling, including weekends and holidays.
  • Good communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the Cayman Islands (preference given to Caymanians and Permanent Residents).

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in laundry operations, housekeeping, or a similar role in a hotel/resort preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of laundry chemicals, equipment operation, and stain removal techniques is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Collect, sort, and weigh soiled linens, towels, and other laundry items from housekeeping and food & beverage departments.
  • Operate industrial washers, dryers, ironers, and folding machines safely and efficiently according to manufacturer guidelines and hotel protocols.
  • Treat stains and perform reclaiming procedures on damaged or heavily soiled items as needed.
  • Fold, press, stack, and organize clean linens neatly for distribution.
  • Stock linen closets and storage areas on guest floors and in housekeeping pantries in preparation for the day shift.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records of linens and report any shortages, damages, or discrepancies.
  • Clean and maintain the laundry room, equipment, and surrounding areas, including sweeping, mopping, and emptying trash.
  • Perform basic maintenance checks on laundry equipment and report any malfunctions or repair needs promptly.
  • Follow all health, safety, and chemical handling procedures, including proper use of detergents and cleaning agents.
  • Assist with occasional guest laundry requests or valet services if required during the shift.
  • Adhere to resort sustainability practices, such as water and energy conservation.
