About The Position

The Non Union Janitor at our CFM Smyrna location, plays a crucial role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment throughout the facility. This position ensures that all designated areas, including offices, restrooms, production floors, and common spaces, are thoroughly cleaned and well-maintained to support operational efficiency and employee well-being. The janitor will be responsible for routine cleaning tasks as well as responding promptly to any immediate cleaning needs or spills to uphold high standards of hygiene and safety. This role contributes directly to the overall appearance and functionality of the workplace, fostering a positive atmosphere for both employees and visitors. The successful candidate will demonstrate reliability, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to facility upkeep, ensuring that Nissan Smyrna remains a clean and orderly environment at all times.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in janitorial or custodial work preferred but not required.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and equipment usage.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.

• Familiarity with safety standards and protocols related to cleaning and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and trash removal across all assigned areas.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, replenishing supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness of break rooms, offices, hallways, and production areas to ensure a safe and hygienic environment.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards observed during cleaning to the appropriate personnel promptly.
• Operate cleaning equipment and use cleaning chemicals safely and effectively according to company guidelines.
• Assist with special cleaning projects or deep cleaning tasks as scheduled or requested by management.
• Adhere to all company policies, safety procedures, and environmental regulations while performing duties.
