About The Position

The Overnight Housing Counselor has the primary objective to oversee the supervised transitional housing community of residences with mental health concerns and provide support in the areas of, meal preparation and coordination, medication monitoring, house management, ADL training and coaching, and socialization events. In conjunction with the residents, the Overnight Housing Counselor will organize socialization events and evening activities and run recreation groups. The Overnight Housing Counselor's must provide close observation and keep accurate records of residents taking their medications and take responsibility for prompt follow-up with supervisor and service coordinator for any missing/inaccurate recordings in the medication book. Hours of shift are from 12midnight to 8am.

Requirements

• A commitment to upholding the philosophy, mission, and values of Community Access.
• Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Previous Customer Service experience and/or residential service experience.
• Must be fingerprinted and cleared by the NYS Justice Center.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
