About The Position

Moss New York is seeking an experienced, detail-driven, and highly accountable Overnight Housekeeping Supervisor to lead and support overnight housekeeping operations at our private members’ club. This role is essential to ensuring the club is meticulously cleaned, fully reset, and prepared to reopen for daily operations. Working during overnight hours while the club is closed, the Overnight Housekeeping Supervisor oversees all back-of-house housekeeping operations, ensures adherence to Moss New York’s elevated cleanliness and safety standards, and provides hands-on leadership to the overnight housekeeping team. This position plays a critical quality-control role—verifying that all work is completed to standard and that the space reflects the excellence expected by members, guests, and staff. This position reports directly to the Facilities Manager.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of experience in housekeeping or facilities operations, with supervisory experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and surface-specific care.
  • Proven ability to lead, train, and motivate a team in an overnight or independent work environment.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality control.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and reporting skills.
  • Reliable, accountable, and comfortable working overnight shifts.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in luxury hospitality, private clubs, hotels, or high-end commercial environments strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support the overnight housekeeping team to ensure all cleaning tasks are completed thoroughly, efficiently, and on schedule.
  • Assign nightly cleaning responsibilities and ensure proper coverage across all guest-facing and back-of-house areas.
  • Serve as the primary on-site facilities and housekeeping lead during overnight hours.
  • Conduct detailed inspections of all areas—including lounges, dining spaces, bars, restrooms, locker rooms, corridors, offices, and staff areas—to confirm work meets Moss New York standards.
  • Ensure the club is fully reset and operationally ready for reopening at 5:00 AM.
  • Address deficiencies immediately and provide corrective guidance to team members as needed.
  • Train, coach, and guide overnight housekeeping staff on proper cleaning techniques, procedures, and expectations.
  • Ensure all team members are using the correct cleaning chemicals and tools for various surfaces, finishes, and materials.
  • Reinforce safety protocols, chemical handling procedures, and sanitation standards.
  • Maintain tight control over cleaning supplies, chemicals, tools, and equipment.
  • Monitor inventory levels and report supply needs or discrepancies to the Facilities Manager.
  • Ensure proper storage, labeling, and handling of all cleaning products.
  • Complete a nightly pass-down report documenting cleaning completion, staff attendance, performance notes, inventory concerns, and any maintenance or safety issues.
  • Communicate overnight activities, challenges, and follow-ups clearly to the Facilities Manager and morning operations teams.
  • Escalate urgent issues as needed to ensure operational continuity.
  • Oversee all back-of-house areas during overnight hours to ensure cleanliness, organization, and safety.
  • Identify and report maintenance issues, damages, or hazards discovered during overnight operations.
