About The Position

The Overnight Front Desk Manager at Residence Inn New York JFK Airport is responsible for overseeing hotel operations during the overnight shift. This role includes staffing, training, record keeping, report preparation, and guest relations, while acting as the property Manager on Duty when assigned. The position aims to ensure high standards of comfort, service, and quality for guests, while maintaining effective teamwork across departments.

Requirements

• BS or BA in Hotel Administration or Management.
• Hotel level front office experience, preferably with FOSSE.
• Two years of previous team management or supervisory experience.
• Excellent verbal, comprehension, listening, and problem-solving skills.
• Interpersonal and time management skills.
• Adaptability and report/accounting skills.
• Guest relation skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure an environment of high standards of comfort, service, and quality for guests.
• Enhance cooperation between all departments and ensure teamwork.
• Maintain accurate records and safeguard all vending machines and convenience store items.
• Cooperate with General Manager, Director of Sales, Chief Engineer, Executive Housekeeper, and Front Office staff for proper suite inventory controls.
• Manage and maintain a relationship with the Property Management System provider.
• Work with maintenance to ensure proper key controls.
• Maintain departmental budget and staffing levels in relation to occupancy levels.
• Maintain accurate payroll and employee records, and perform timely and fair reviews.
• Ensure accurate adherence to bank records and procedures for timely collections.
• Maintain the market, lobby, and front office area to the highest standards.
• Manage Accounts Receivable, City Ledger, and Guest Ledger.
• Provide comprehensive training to Front Office staff.
• Act as Manager on Duty as designated by the General Manager.
