About The Position

The Hilton Phoenix Resort at the Peak is looking for a FT - Overnight Engineer to join our amazing Team! This position involves maintaining the guestrooms, public space, and back of the house areas in good repair by performing various tasks related to a variety of trades including but not limited to carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, and drywall repairs to ensure an attractive and well-maintained Resort. The role requires responding to guest calls and completing written assignment sheets provided by Supervisors, which necessitates a considerable knowledge of a wide variety of maintenance trades. Detailed record keeping for logs and inspections is also required.

Requirements

  • Must have the ability to communicate in English.
  • Self-starting personality with an even disposition.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times.
  • Ability to communicate well with guests.
  • Willingness to help co-workers with their job duties and be a team player.
  • Ability to climb, read, stand, walk, and routinely lift 25 lbs to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to receive instructions and communicate progress of work assignments.

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance tasks in guest suites, public space, outlets, and back of the house areas as required.
  • Respond to guest calls and complete written assignment sheets provided by Supervisors.
  • Maintain inventory of supplies needed to perform job function.
  • Report major repairs and items which cannot be repaired to the Supervisors for further action.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by the supervisor, such as waterproofing, shop clean up, and labeling of hazardous materials.
