About The Position

The Position is for Maintenance Engineer. The hotel is located on a quiet tree-lined street in Soho, featuring 97 rooms and suites with four distinct F&B concepts led by an acclaimed chef. The hotel aims to provide a hospitality experience that feels more like staying at the home of a dear friend than at a hotel.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications or vocational training in relevant fields preferred.
• Proven experience in hotel engineering, facility maintenance, or a related role.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
• Must have the ability to communicate in English.
• Self-starting personality with an even disposition.
• Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times.
• Can communicate well with guests.
• Must be willing to 'pitch-in' and help co-workers with their job duties and be a team player.
• Climbing, reading, standing.
• Must be able to receive instructions and communicate progress of work assignments.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the overall appearance of the building; replacing broken lamps, bedroom fixtures & fittings, carrying out general repairs & maintaining high standards to decor & paintwork etc. throughout the building.
• Perform preventive maintenance throughout all areas of the premise, including both front and back of house and rooms, interior, exterior and all F&B Spaces.
• Ensure that all tasks relating to guest comfort, guest satisfaction or the impression the guest receives of the hotel must be treated with utmost priority.
• Maintain all safety and asset register records at all times.
• Take responsibility for all equipment onsite ensuring that it is maintained and ready for use at all times.
• Always wear two-way communication devices as instructed.
• Adhere to procedures in regards to guest privacy, confidentiality and access protocols for occupied rooms.
• Have a comprehensive knowledge of, and ensure that you comply with all statutory local legislation and regulation, in particular, H&S, building regulations and Fire Safety.
• Ensure that our social spaces embody The Manner brand and culture.
• Maintain a good working relationship with your colleagues creating a team that works well together and with other departments.
• Other duties as assigned.
