About The Position

Nashville Veterinary Specialists in Nashville, TN is looking to add Licensed Veterinary Technicians or Assistants to our Emergency Team! We offer a competitive compensation range of $20 - $31/hr, based on experience, with additional shift and weekend differentials. The schedule consists of consistent, three 12-hour shifts per week, specifically for the night shift from 6pm to 6am. We are dedicated to providing outstanding client service and excellent patient care, and we are looking for someone who shares our commitment to maintaining a positive and respectful hospital culture.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years working as a veterinary technician/assistant, preferably in emergency medicine.
• Understanding of basic veterinary knowledge, including triage, disease processes, pharmacology, restraint, diagnostic imaging, phlebotomy, anesthesia, laboratory equipment and procedures.
• Attention to detail with strong communication skills with both clients and team members.

Nice To Haves

• Advanced skills such as central line placement, abdominocentesis, thoracocentesis, feeding tube placement, and urinary catheter placement.
