About The Position

The Overnight Camp Counselor position at Stepping Stones, Inc. involves supporting teens and adults with disabilities during enriching weekend retreats. Counselors will lead activities, ensure safety, and provide personal care while fostering a fun and inclusive environment. This is a live-in role at Camp Allyn, where counselors will stay from Friday afternoon to Sunday afternoon, with meals and lodging provided.

Requirements

• Must be age 18 or above.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• CPR Certification required.
• First Aid Certification required.
• Ability to successfully complete all background check requirements.
• Ability to lift up to 50 LBs per day.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in conflict management.
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Support a cabin group of teens and adults with disabilities during weekend retreats.
• Lead and facilitate a variety of creative arts, nature, and seasonal activities during the day.
• Organize and participate in evening events such as dances and talent shows.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants throughout the program.
• Complete necessary paperwork and documentation as required.
• Provide personal care and support to participants as needed.
