About The Position

The Jefferson Hotel is seeking a dependable and professional Overnight Bell Staff & Room Service Attendant to support both Guest Services and In-Room Dining operations. This hybrid role is responsible for assisting guests with arrivals and departures, handling luggage and requests, and preparing and delivering room service orders during overnight hours. This position is ideal for someone who is self-motivated, guest-focused, and comfortable working independently while maintaining a high level of service. Key Requirements Full-time overnight availability (11:00 PM – 7:00 AM), including weekends and holidays Valid Virginia driver’s license with a clean driving record Previous hospitality, guest services, or room service/in-room dining experience preferred Ability to work independently and maintain a professional, polished demeanor Working knowledge of or willingness to learn Door Staff responsibilities

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong communication and time management skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods
  • Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
  • Full-time overnight availability (11:00 PM – 7:00 AM), including weekends and holidays
  • Valid Virginia driver’s license with a clean driving record

Nice To Haves

  • Previous hospitality, guest services, or room service/in-room dining experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Welcome late arrivals and assist with luggage, directions, and guest requests
  • Support early departures and coordinate transportation as needed
  • Prepare, deliver, and set up room service orders accurately and professionally
  • Ensure proper presentation of trays and carts according to hotel standards
  • Retrieve trays and service items quietly and efficiently
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of room service areas
  • Respond promptly to guest requests and overnight service needs
  • Communicate updates and guest concerns during shift handoff
  • Maintain cleanliness of lobby and service areas
  • Work closely with the Night Manager for guidance and support during overnight operations
