The Over-house Supervisor is a registered nurse who is responsible and accountable for the continuity of operations within the facility. This person is responsible for facilitating admission, discharge, and transfer activity, and for monitoring and maximizing capacity by promoting the efficient utilization of beds and the appropriate allocation of staff. The ability to communicate effectively with the necessary parties to find the most efficient and effective solutions to patient placement is essential to the role. The Over-house Supervisor is skilled in listening to care providers, interpreting data, and evaluating needs of those involved in the processes, and collaborates with other disciplines to develop and maintain a high quality nursing care delivery system within the Medical Center. The Over-house Supervisor assumes responsibility for the Medical Center processes during the off shifts in collaboration with the Administrator on-call, as indicated.
