The Over-house Supervisor is a registered nurse who is responsible and accountable for the continuity of operations within the facility. This person is responsible for facilitating admission, discharge, and transfer activity, and for monitoring and maximizing capacity by promoting the efficient utilization of beds and the appropriate allocation of staff. The ability to communicate effectively with the necessary parties to find the most efficient and effective solutions to patient placement is essential to the role. The Over-house Supervisor is skilled in listening to care providers, interpreting data, and evaluating needs of those involved in the processes, and collaborates with other disciplines to develop and maintain a high quality nursing care delivery system within the Medical Center. The Over-house Supervisor assumes responsibility for the Medical Center processes during the off shifts in collaboration with the Administrator on-call, as indicated.

  • Facilitate admission, discharge, and transfer activity.
  • Monitor and maximize capacity by promoting efficient utilization of beds.
  • Allocate staff appropriately.
  • Communicate effectively with necessary parties for patient placement solutions.
  • Collaborate with other disciplines to maintain high quality nursing care delivery.
  • Assume responsibility for Medical Center processes during off shifts.
  • Graduate of an accredited Diploma, Associate or Baccalaureate School of Nursing.
  • Current Georgia RN License.
  • BLS CPR certification required.
  • Three to four years of clinical experience required.
  • Some management experience preferred.
  • Effective interpersonal and management skills.
