About The Position
Dan's Overhead Doors is seeking experienced Overhead Door Technicians to join their team in North Liberty, Iowa. This full-time position offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $18 to $20. The ideal candidates will possess a strong work ethic and technical skills necessary for installing and servicing overhead doors. The role involves performing service repair calls to fix doors and door openers, as well as installing new and replacement openers, doors, sections, tracks, and programming the necessary electronic equipment. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, starting at 7:00 AM, with an on-call rotation that typically occurs every 8-10 weeks. As an Overhead Door Technician, you will be responsible for operating power tools and equipment, demonstrating mechanical inclination, and repairing components of overhead doors and openers. You will also install various types of residential, commercial, and industrial doors and door openers in diverse work environments, including sectional doors, airport hangar doors, rolling steel doors, and high-speed doors. Additionally, the role includes installing dock equipment such as mechanical and hydraulic dock levelers, truck restraints, dock seals, bumpers, and lights. You will need to ensure that vehicles are stocked with the necessary parts and tools to perform daily tasks effectively.
