About The Position

The Overhead Crane Operator/Material Handler is responsible for maintaining a high level of production by ensuring a constant flow of material through processing equipment. This role involves operating cranes and handling materials safely and efficiently while adhering to company policies and safety requirements.

Requirements

• Must be trained, tested, certified, and management approved before operating cranes and supporting material handling equipment.
• Knowledgeable in all aspects required to safely move material from one physical location to another.
• Ability to comply with all housekeeping and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a constant flow of material through processing equipment.
• Unload railcars and load trucks.
• Complete daily 'Check List' at the beginning of each work shift.
• Notify shift supervisor of any unsafe issues with cranes and support equipment.
• Ensure material being moved is safely secured along with nearby materials.
