About The Position

We are seeking a skilled, safety-focused Forklift and Crane Operator to support our Annealing Department. In this role, you will help coordinate daily operations by safely moving, staging, and organizing material to support furnace and cooler setup. You will play a key part in maintaining efficient material flow, ensuring safe operations, and meeting production, quality, and productivity goals while working closely with your team. Shift: Pitman Schedule – 12-hour rotating shifts Hours: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (rotates weekly) Worthington Steel (NYSE:WS) is a metals processor that partners with customers to deliver highly technical and customized solutions. Responsibilities

  • Promote and maintain a safe work environment at all times
  • Follow all safety standards and procedures for forklift and overhead crane operations
  • Complete and document daily equipment inspections
  • Operate forklifts and overhead cranes to move, stage, and organize materials
  • Support production by clearing finished products and emptying scrap containers
  • Assist with order alignment, material identification, and scrap handling
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure work is completed safely, accurately, and efficiently
  • Lead by example and support training and development in crane operations and annealing processes
  • Identify operational issues, assist with root cause analysis, and support corrective actions
  • Take ownership of assigned operations and contribute to overall department success
  • Use Oracle or similar systems for production tracking and documentation
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
  • Maintain reliable attendance and demonstrate flexibility in daily work assignments
  • Perform additional duties as needed to support facility operations
