About The Position
Austin Industrial is seeking an Overhead Crane and Rigging Inspector to join our team in Phoenix, AZ. This position involves performing inspections and repairs on overhead cranes and below-the-hook lifting devices, ensuring that all equipment meets safety and operational standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical and mechanical systems, with a minimum of one year of experience specifically as a crane inspector and at least five years of overall electrical and mechanical experience. The role requires proficiency in working with 480VAC 3-phase systems and the ability to operate forklifts or a willingness to learn. Excellent communication and writing skills are essential for documenting inspections and repairs accurately. In addition to crane inspections, the inspector may assist with repairs on other production equipment as assigned. The physical demands of the job include regular lifting of up to 25 pounds and frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds, along with various physical activities such as climbing, balancing, kneeling, and crawling.
