Overhaul Technician (Lean Lead)

What you will do: Lead the execution and completion of projects/tasks supporting Operations driving sustainability to 5s in Operations by ensuring equipment and tooling remains organized, clearly labeled, clean, and in identified locations Lead efforts to review 5S practices and participate in audits to ensure adherence to Lean principles Gain knowledge and insights from subject matter experts (SME’s) to enhance project outcomes Collaborate with the Operations teams on Lean 6sigma initiatives looking for potential green belt projects or kaizen event opportunities Implement innovative ideas to improve processes and efficiency within Operations Follow assigned tasks and demonstrate a proactive, self-starter attitude Focus on safety driven opportunities to learn from normal work and improve processes Support built-in quality (BIQ) activities and processes within the Operations teams to improve quality to our customers and the field
Requirements
- Prior experience or knowledge in Lean principles and methodologies preferred
- Understanding of safety driven principles
- Knowledge of built-in quality (BIQ) and corrective action processes
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Demonstrated initiative and willingness to take ownership of tasks
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and project requirements
Responsibilities
