About The Position

The Overhaul and Repair Technician is responsible for performing repairs, overhauls, and tests on ejection seats and associated components in accordance with existing specifications and drawings both on site and when required, at customer facility. Initiates and maintains necessary records and documentation. Supports training activities conducted for the customer. Incorporates engineering changes both on site and at customer facility. Travel will be required. Primary objectives: Repair and /or overhaul ejection seats and seat components to return them to serviceable conditions. Test and adjust components to ensure they are operating within published specifications and operating parameters. Initiates and maintains required records and documentation. Maintains test gear in accordance with applicable rules and regulations. Provide technical guidance and assistance. Adheres to applicable Martin-Baker America operating procedures and work instructions at all times. Secondary Activities/Tasks Understands the company's mission, vision, and values and how they are relevant to the role and function. Encourage teamwork, promote integration and accountability, show humility, exercise discipline and work to improve and grow in your skill sets as an individual contributor.

Requirements

  • At least three years' experience with Martin-Baker Aircraft Company ejection seats is required.
  • Prior military experience and graduation from U.S. Navy/Marine Corps AME/PR "A" school or U.S. Air Force equivalent is required unless waived in writing by the General Manager.
  • Position requires a minimum of a high school diploma.
  • Position requires the ability to clearly communicate oral and written information to subordinates, peers, superiors, and customers.
  • Position requires an understanding of the maintenance of ejection seat systems from component replacement to overhaul.
  • Position requires a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Must have the ability to accurately understand and interpret product drawings, and specifications of moderate complexity.
  • Position requires a demonstrated ability to work independently without direct oversight.
  • Position requires demonstrated ability to work in a team environment with subordinates, peers, and senior personnel.
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, and move frequently throughout the facility.
  • Will be required to lift material not exceeding 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to use hand tools and operate test equipment
  • Occasional local travel is expected.
  • Overseas travel may be required for reviews with Martin-Baker Aircraft.
