This position involves safely maneuvering a tractor and trailer in both urban and rural areas. The role requires a people-oriented individual who can work well with others to complete work assignments in a team environment. The driver will be responsible for safely driving in both daytime and nighttime conditions and may assist in loading and unloading freight to and from trailers, although this is seldom required. Timely and accurate completion of paperwork per company processes is essential, including driver paperwork, BOLs, delivery receipts, manifests, DVIRs, and other required documentation. The driver must complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections and paperwork as required by DOT and company policies. Flexibility in hours and times for work is necessary, and maintaining a professional image with customers, peers, supervisors, and the public is crucial. Good organizational and communication skills are also important.
