About The Position

At Landmark Snacks, the oven operator is an integral part to the production process. The oven operator supervises the cooking process for our products. As part of your responsibilities, you set up, monitor, and adjust oven temperature and time controls. You’ll examine the products during and after cooking to ensure product quality. Oven operators then load and unload product from the oven for the next step in the production process.

Requirements

  • Related food production experience is preferred, but not required
  • Must be able to lift and push 50+ pounds with or without reasonable accommodations
  • Sufficient written communication and reading skills
  • Ability to operate or to quickly learn equipment
  • Good time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to follow directions
  • Ability to assess products for quality compliance
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position during the shift, using repetitive motion
  • Must be able occasionally lift, push, pull and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds across the plant for various needs
  • Spends time in cold environments
  • Must have good hand/eye coordination

Responsibilities

  • Cook products according to established standards
  • Maximize oven use to ensure oven is loaded to capacity and filled at all times when necessary
  • Prep, load, and unload ovens
  • Monitor cooking throughout the day
  • Take and record preliminary PH and Water Activity readings
  • Download oven graphs
  • Clean ovens on prescribed schedule
  • Make changes to oven programs as directed
