About The Position

Primarily responsible for operating equipment in the further production of poultry. This is an individual contributor role. Performs all work in compliance with company policies, NCC Animal Welfare Guidelines and local, state and federal policies, laws and regulations.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Intermediate math (add, subtract, multiply and divide) and computer skills
  • Ability to work unsupervised and self-motivate
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays and extended shift hours
  • Sound work ethic, honesty and moral character
  • Follow departmental and company safety policies and programs
  • Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times in areas where required
  • Stand up to 8 hours
  • Exposure to wet and dusty environment
  • Frequently reaching, bending, stooping, kneeling and crawling

Responsibilities

  • Under minimal supervision, set up and clean all equipment including oven depositors, pumps, couthers, Feldmeiers an any other equipment prior to scheduled start time to ensure on time start ups
  • Perform quality checks on product, record information on X&R charts and make necessary system adjustments to meet customer and company specifications
  • Ensure work area (ie floor, walls & equipment) remains free of egg debris and water to control bacterial threat and safety hazards
  • Dispose of inedible cooked/liquid egg material in appropriate containers in compliance with USDA and company guidelines
  • Monitor spiral freezer operations checking for ice buildup on belts and coils; corrects problems promptly to maximize quality and increase the length of production run
  • Start CIP process where applicable, tests chemical concentration, monitors CIP ensuring process works and system comes cleaned
  • Dismantle and clean equipment per procedures in readiness for QA and USDA inspections
  • Adhere to safe work practices, policies and procedures, maintain sanitary conditions to ensure product quality; report any condition or practice that may adversely affect food safety, food quality and/or personnel safety
  • Work in compliance with all company policies, NCC Animal Welfare Guidelines and local, state and federal policies, laws and regulations
  • Performs other duties as assigned
