About The Position

Madrigal is a biopharmaceutical company focused on delivering novel therapeutics for metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH), a serious liver disease that can progress to cirrhosis, liver failure, need for liver transplantation and premature mortality. Every member of our Madrigal team is connected by our shared purpose: leading the fight against MASH. Madrigal’s medication, Rezdiffra (resmetirom), is a once-daily, oral, liver-directed THR-β agonist designed to target key underlying causes of MASH. Rezdiffra is the first and only medication approved by both the FDA and European Commission for the treatment of MASH with moderate to advanced fibrosis (F2 to F3). An ongoing Phase 3 outcomes trial is evaluating Rezdiffra for the treatment of compensated MASH cirrhosis (F4c). Our success is driven by our people. The Outsourcing Analyst is responsible for assisting in the management all aspects of vendor contracting, site contracting, and negotiation / execution of all required agreements in support of the clinical plan. This role requires the ability to understand the budget and contracting process while working with all clinical research study phases and different teams within Madrigal Pharmaceuticals (e.g., R&D & Clinical Operations). The ability to collaborate with other clinical team members, clinical trial teams, investigational sites and vendors is imperative. This position is intended to be in the office three days a week but there is the potential to be flexible on an ‘as needed’ basis. A limited amount of travel will be required for in person meetings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3+ years of related experience
  • Capability of managing multiple vendors for multiple clinical trials simultaneously
  • Must have the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with management, peers, and colleagues
  • Excellent written and verbal skills.
  • Must display strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong work ethic

  • Must be detail oriented yet not lost in the details

Responsibilities

  • Manage the RFP process, including bid comparison analysis, and contract negotiation and finalization
  • Manage budget and contract negotiations with all service providers including all initial contracts
  • Negotiate final scopes of work, budget, and payment schedules with input from functional team members for clinical study service providers
  • Negotiate a variety of contracts, including amending agreements in relation to new needs or changes in circumstances
  • Be able to utilize multiple different systems for contract approvals (e.g. MedCompli, Coupa)
  • Ensure all Contracts are uploaded in database and perform uploads for historical contracts; maintain database
  • Ensure contract compliance in accordance with company’s policies and procedures
  • Track negotiated cost savings and cost avoidances achieved
  • Ongoing contract management (e.g. spend, change orders)
