About The Position

Cape Royal Golf Club is excited to announce the exceptional job opportunity of Outside Services Attendant/Bag Drop Attendant. Qualified candidates will thrive in a hospitality environment and be highly focused on providing superior service to the clubs managed by Troon.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Must have a valid driver's license (if driving golf carts or range equipment)
  • Must have a strong work ethic
  • Must have friendly personality and enjoy working with the public
  • Organized, able to work well in fast paced environment
  • Must have strong customer/guest orientation
  • Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must be dependable
  • Knowledge about the game of golf preferred

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years' Server experience preferred
  • Proven exemplary customer service skills
  • 2+ years' experience with a restaurant POS software platform

Responsibilities

  • Maintain professional appearance
  • Start players on the first tee explaining the rules of play for the day
  • Maintain an accurate starting sheet so the whereabouts of players are known
  • Cue groups to move to the first tee and ensure not more than one group is on the tee at one time
  • Tour the golf course assisting players when needed to maintain the posted pace of play for the day
  • Check the restrooms and water stations on a regular schedule
  • Maintain proper spacing on the golf course to avoid delays
  • Complete the golfer tracking report on a daily basis
  • Remind players of the cart rules of the day
  • Repair ball marks and collect any trash that may be on the course
  • Replace any hazard stakes or directional signage
  • Communicate with the Golf Shop and Starter on a regular basis
  • Monitor the course and ensure customer satisfaction
  • Assist golfers when needed
  • Report all problem situations to the Head Professional in a timely manner
  • Incorporate safe work practices in job performance
  • Provide information regarding the golf course, play time and other golf-related inquiries
  • Provide excellent customer service to arriving guests, expediting the check-in process
  • Verify all revenues have been properly recorded through receipt inspection before starting a game
  • Keep golf shop personnel informed regarding pace of play based off of the first tee
  • Supply guests with scorecards, pencils and other items as needed
  • Advise guests of course conditions and expected pace of play
  • Implement and support all course policies and programs as communicated by management
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager
  • Regular and reliable attendance
