About The Position

At Ventana Canyon, nestled in Tucson Santa Catalina foothills, the sun rises across our pristine 600-acre desert preserve with its flowering landscape, rolling hills, winding riverbeds, craggy canyons, and pine-topped peaks. The Ventana Canyon Golf & Racquet Club is a beautiful and secluded member-owned country club with 36 holes of championship golf and 50 guest suites, rated as one of America's top golf resorts The Lodge at Ventana Canyon Golf & Racquet Club is seeking an Outside Services Attendant to create a great experience by assisting guests and members in a positive, upbeat manner.

Requirements

Able to write simple correspondence to effectively present information to one-on-one and small groups.
Ability to apply basic math skills.
Able to apply common sense to carry out simple one and two step instructions.
Able to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
Regularly uses close, distance, color, and peripheral vision as well as depth perception.
Ability to adjust focus.
Occasionally works in areas with moving mechanical parts; may come in contact with fumes or airborne particles.
Frequently works in outdoor weather conditions.
One-month related experience as an Outside Services Attendant or training is preferred.
Required to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
Meet the physical demands of the position: Frequently stands and walks; uses hands to finger, feel or handle; talk or hear. Occasionally sits; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crawl or crouches. Regularly lifts up to 25 pounds and occasionally lifts up to 50 pounds.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must have a valid Drivers License.

Responsibilities

Assist with the overall upkeep of the cart staging and cart storage areas.
Assist in the setup and execution of golf tournaments and outings.
Provide sincere and courteous service, including bag handling and club cleaning for all guests and members.
Maintain the cart staging area in a neat and orderly fashion, including the podium and bag drop area.
Maintain the cart storage area and cart wash down area in a neat, clean and orderly condition.
Prepares golf carts for play following the company standards.
Assists in educating players regarding course policy, current cart policy and speed of play.
Maintain accurate records of golfers who rent clubs and clean rental clubs upon return.
Assist with food and beverage activities.
Incorporate safe work practices in job performance.
Maintain flexibility to take on new and different tasks as directed by the department manager.
May direct the start of play.
Attends staff meetings.
