About The Position
Wintonbury Hills Golf Course is now hiring for the opportunity of an Outside Service Operations/Starter-Bag Drop. Qualified candidates will thrive in a hospitality environment and be highly focused on providing superior service to the clubs managed by Troon. This position required availability for early morning shifts (5am) on weekends and holidays. There are also some available closing shifts on weekdays and or weekends. There are approximately 4 shifts available.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED; and six months to a year customer service experience or training.
- Regular and reliable attendance is vital
Responsibilities
- Greets members and guests promptly and courteously upon their arrival.
- Works closely with the Golf Shop to verify tee times and confirm that players have paid the appropriate fees.
- Cues groups to move to the first tee. Ensures players begin their round on time, not ahead or behind.
- Completes the Starter’s worksheet for each group and documents player counts.
- Communicates with the Golf Shop associates regarding speed of play and any possible delays.
- Distributes scorecards, extra pencils and any information or assistance the players may need.
- Assists with the overall upkeep of the clubhouse, cart storage area and parking lot. Sta
- Assists in the setup and execution of golf tournaments and outings.
- Provides sincere and courteous service to all guests with items such as bag handling.
- Maintains the cart staging area in a neat and orderly fashion, including the podium and bag drop area.
- Maintains the cart storage area and cart wash down area in a neat, clean and orderly condition.
- Prepares golf carts for play following the standards of Troon Golf.
- Assists in educating players regarding course policy, current cart policy, speed of play and so forth.
- Directs start of play when necessary.
- Maintains accurate records of golfers renting clubs.
- Services the customer who is renting golf clubs and cleans rental clubs upon return.
- Assists with food and beverage activities.
- Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
- Performs other duties as required.
