About The Position

Were now seeking a driven Outside Sales Representative to help grow our Petroleum and Car Wash maintenance services in Portland . If youre a results-focused sales professional who thrives on building relationships, developing new business, and promoting technical service solutions, this is your moment. Pay Range: $65K$75K (Plus Quarterly Commissions) Includes: Benefits, PTO, 401(k), Company Vehicle and more Your Mission: Drive new customer acquisition and expand Nwestcos market share in petroleum service, compliance testing, maintenance, and installation programs across California. Focus on building and expanding business in the Dublin, Sacramento, Fresno, and Bakersfield branches, with primary coverage of the East BaySacramento corridor. Identify and develop relationships with fuel retailers, convenience store operators, jobbers, commercial fueling sites, municipalities, and contractors. Promote and sell UST/AST compliance testing, maintenance programs, repairs, and installation services. Conduct on-site consultations and evaluations to understand customer needs and recommend tailored solutions. Prepare and deliver detailed quotes, proposals, and service agreements. Collaborate closely with branch managers, service teams, and project managers to ensure quality delivery and customer satisfaction. Stay current on industry regulations, testing requirements, and equipment standards (UST/AST systems, leak detection, cathodic protection, monitoring, etc.). Manage opportunities through CRM tools, maintain accurate forecasting, and follow up diligently to close deals. Represent Nwestco at trade shows, local industry events, and customer training sessions. Ensure all sales activities comply with state and federal environmental, safety, and compliance regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in business, marketing, or related field preferred or equivalent solid work experience.
  • 5+ years of sales experience, including a proven record of adding new customers to a companys portfolio.
  • Demonstrated ability to generate leads, develop sales strategies, and manage all phases of the sales cycle from prospecting to close.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM software.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-motivated, professional, and able to operate with a high degree of autonomy.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Willingness to travel regionally across California, supporting all four branches as needed.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment physical with extensive lifting (up to 75 lb), twisting, pulling, kneeling, and squatting.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug-screening and background check.
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record over the past 5 years required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience selling in the retail and/or commercial petroleum industry is a strong plus.
  • Prior success selling service and maintenance agreements is preferred.
  • Knowledge of petroleum systems, fueling equipment, UST/AST testing, and regulatory compliance is highly beneficial.
  • Experience working with developers, C-store operators, fleet operators, or fueling networks.
  • Skilled at project coordination and cross-functional collaboration.
