As Outside Sales Support, you will maximize sales and profitability by actively promoting products to new and existing customers. You will support the Sales staff by assisting with the setup and processing of various projects and events.

Requirements

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: 2+ years of prior experience in retail sales within a professional environment and front facing customer interaction; product training provided.
  • Functional Skills: Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to provide individualized service. A self-starter who proactively finds solutions to meet our customer needs with an ability to multi-task to handle various methods of customer interaction/needs (in person, phone, other). Good attention to detail with good math skills to calculate pricing, discounts, and interest. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals; to respond to common inquires or complaints from Customers or the public.
  • Technology Aptitude/Other: Good key boarding skills with intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Language Skills: Excellent verbal skills to work with our customers (in person or by telephone) and to speak effectively before groups of Customers or Employees of organization. Solid written skills to write routine reports and correspondence.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior work experience with stone, granite, or slabs is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assists the Sales Rep by looking for new business opportunities for the company.
  • Develops, maintains, and grows client relationships, as well as maintain customer confidentiality.
  • Participates in industry functions such as home shows and professional association meetings.
  • Handle the Product Samples area to ensure accuracy in labeling, shipment to customer, and ordering of non-stocked material.
  • Provides ongoing support in other areas of the branch as needed.
