About The Position

The Education Account Manager is a key company ambassador focused on supporting music education by selling musical instruments, rental and repair services, and related products to band and orchestra directors and music teachers within local school districts. The ideal candidate will have a passion for music education, strong relationship-building skills, and a proven ability to meet and exceed sales goals while providing BRAVO customer service.

Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Knowledge of musical instruments and/or playing experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional outside sales or music retail experience.
  • Prior experience with sales-related technology platforms including CRM and POS systems.
  • Strong communication skills which reflect active listening, critical thinking, and a customer focused approach
  • Excellent presentation skills for both individual and group settings
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and follow-up skills to ensure responsibilities and goals are met within defined deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented and able to prioritize work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to work non-traditional hours including evenings and weekends during peak seasons.
  • Ability to travel daily within assigned territory.

Responsibilities

  • Strategically develop and maintain relationships with school music teachers and directors.
  • Maintain a regular schedule of on-site visits to schools to present products, provide demonstrations, and consult on program needs.
  • Identify opportunities to expand product offerings and increase sales and rentals within assigned territory.
  • Educate customers on all Heid Music offerings including rental and repair services.
  • Prepare and deliver proposals, quotes, and contracts in alignment with school budgets and purchasing cycles.
  • Demonstrate at instrumental rental meetings to students and parents.
  • Promote Heid Music products and services by attending regional music education conferences, trade shows, and events.
  • Provide effective and consistent communication as well as accurate and timely deliveries.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and follow-up to foster long-term client satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure proper handling of products.
  • Collaborate with store team members to guarantee smooth order processing, billing, shipping, and delivery.
  • Stay informed on trends in the market and actively participate in competitive analysis and strategic sales planning.
